I built this course because too many student pilots show up to their oral exam without a clear idea of what to expect. My job as a flight instructor is to fix that before you ever sit down with your DPE.
Why I Built This
I am a Certified Flight Instructor and Multi-Engine Instructor based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. After teaching private, instrument, and commercial students, I kept running into the same problem. Students were memorizing regulations without understanding why they mattered, and they walked into their checkride unsure of how to explain what they knew.
Checkride Study System exists to fix that. Every study guide, textbook, and mock oral session I build is designed to teach the reasoning behind the material first. Once you understand why a rule exists or why a system works the way it does, the regulation numbers and acronyms stop being something you memorize and start being something you actually know.
How I Teach
Every DPE wants the same thing. They want to see that you can think like a pilot, not recite a textbook. That means I never hand you an answer without the reasoning behind it. Whether you are working through my Private Pilot Checkride Textbook, running through flashcards, or sitting across from me in a mock oral, the goal is the same: build the kind of understanding that holds up when the DPE asks a follow up question you did not expect.
